Wickary
For prop traders

A trading journal for prop firm traders.

Topstep, Apex, FTMO and the rest. You pass or fail on rules, not just on a good setup. Wickary tracks the eval account on its own, watches your drawdown, and scores how well you actually followed your plan. Free to start.

Most blown evals are a discipline problem, not a strategy one

Think about the last eval you lost. Odds are it wasn't a bad idea. It was one trade past the daily loss limit, a size-up to win it back, or trading a session you'd already told yourself to sit out. The strategy was fine. The rules were the thing that broke.

That's the part a normal P&L journal misses. It charts your money and leaves the actual cause alone. Wickary is built the other way around. It treats the rules as the thing worth measuring, because for a funded trader they're the whole game.

Score how well you followed your own rules

Write your setups down as playbooks, with the rules that matter for a funded account baked in. Then tick off the ones you actually followed on every trade.

Keep the eval and funded account on their own books

Your prop account isn't your personal account, and it shouldn't share a P&L line. In Wickary each account has its own balance, its own currency, and its own history.

Run a Topstep eval, an Apex funded account, and a personal account at the same time. Look at each one on its own, or roll them into a single view when you want the whole picture. When you pass an eval and move to a funded account, start a fresh book for it and keep the eval as a record of how you got there.

Stay aware of your drawdown

Trailing drawdown is what quietly ends most funded accounts. One oversized loser, or a slow drift down on a bad afternoon, and you're out before you noticed how close you were.

Wickary's equity curve moves trade by trade off one P&L formula that handles futures point values and forex contract sizes the same way. You watch the account fall and recover in real terms, so the distance to your limit stays in front of you instead of being a number you find out about too late.

Journal the sessions where you broke a rule

The most useful page in your journal is the day you blew it. Write down what the rule was, what you did instead, and what set it off. A red morning, a missed entry you chased, a number on the screen you wanted back.

Do that for a few weeks and the pattern shows up on its own. Wickary's time and behaviour analytics back it up with the boring evidence: your worst hour of the day, how long your winners actually run, and the habits that fail evals, like revenge trades and overtrading. That's where the discipline work is, and it's the difference between passing the next eval and buying another one.

Frequently asked

Is this a good journal for a Topstep or Apex evaluation?

Yes. You keep the eval account on its own book with its own balance, write your rules into playbooks, and score how well you follow them trade by trade. The equity curve tracks your drawdown so the distance to your limit stays in front of you. We don't pull live data from Topstep or Apex, and we don't invent their rules for you, you set the limits that match your account.

Can I track my eval and funded accounts separately?

Yes. Each account has its own balance, currency, and history. Run an eval, a funded account, and a personal account at once, see them one at a time or rolled into a single view. The free plan covers one account, Pro covers up to 15, and Elite is unlimited with a combined cross-account view, which is what you'll want once you're juggling a few.

How does it help me not blow the account?

It can't trade for you, but it makes the rules the thing you watch. You score rule-adherence on every trade, the equity curve keeps your drawdown visible, and the behaviour analytics flag the habits that fail evals: revenge trades, overtrading, and your worst hour of the day. Most failed evals come from breaking a rule, so that's what we measure.

Is it actually free?

Yes. The free plan gives you one account, up to 50 trades, three playbooks, the equity curve, and the daily journal, with no card to sign up. Pro is $19 a month (or $4.99 a week, or $180 a year): 15 accounts, unlimited trades, 10 playbooks, CSV bulk import, and the time and behaviour analytics, plus automatic broker sync and prop-firm rule tracking as they ship. Elite ($39 a month) adds unlimited accounts and playbooks, a cross-account view, and real-time discipline alerts. See how it compares, or view pricing.
