The person behind the book.
Wickary is a trading journal for futures and forex traders, built by someone who got tired of watching good records die in a spreadsheet.
Who builds Wickary
Wickary is made and run by Santiago Álvarez Osuca, an independent developer based in Spain. It's a small, independent project rather than a venture-backed platform, which is exactly what lets it stay opinionated and calm. When you email support, you reach the person who actually builds the thing.
Why it exists
Most traders keep some kind of record, then quietly stop. The spreadsheet gets tedious, the columns drift, and the one habit that separates consistent traders from everyone else falls away. Meanwhile the journals that do exist mostly chart your P&L and leave the actual cause alone — whether you followed your own rules, which is the part that changes outcomes.
Wickary was built the other way around. It treats discipline as the thing worth measuring, handles futures and forex with one consistent P&L formula, and stays fast and quiet enough that you'll actually keep it. It's a calm, editorial workspace, not another cluttered dashboard.
What Wickary stands for
- Discipline over noise. We measure how well you follow your own playbook, not just your P&L, because that's what you can actually improve.
- Built for futures & forex. One P&L formula that treats point values and contract sizes the same way, so both markets live in one journal.
- Your book, kept private. Your trades, notes, and screenshots are tied to your account and served only to you. We don't sell data or use it for advertising.
- An honest free tier. The free plan is genuinely useful, with no card to sign up. You only pay once you outgrow it.
- Calm by design. A quiet workspace that stays out of the way while you work.
